2015 Summer Institute for Curriculum, Course Design, and Assessment

We are particularly interested to hear about your program, unique course innovations related to global health, and interesting ways that your institution has found to integrate global health themes into the curriculum and co-curriculum. If you did not already submit an abstract during your registration and would like to do so, you may submit your abstract here.
Directions for submitting your abstract:
- Abstract must include Poster Title, Author(s), Author(s)' Title, and Institutional Affiliation(s)
- Abstract must be < 250 words.

Undergraduate Global Health_Summer Institute: Poster Abstract for <last name>
Workshop participants will also work to develop and present the progress of their work developed during the Summer Institute. Opportunities will exist to develop and share progress on meeting your personal global health-related course and curricular goals with colleagues at the end of the session.
Poster Criteria
Posters should be no larger than 36" x 48". Easel stands will be available for either vertical or horizontal presentation. Participants can bring their poster either in paper or study format (e.g., mounted on foamcore).

Register now for the Undergraduate Global Health Summer Institute. The application form is online and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please submit by April 20, 2015.
Travel/Accommodations Forms are no longer being accepted
For accepted participants, the travel / accommodations form is online. We need this information for planning airport shuttles, meals, and room assignments. Please submit by May 1, 2015.
Participants will be lodged in single rooms in 2-4 person apartments built in 2010 to LEED Gold Certification on the beautiful Allegheny College campus. Rooms come complete with linens. Accessible apartments are available. Participants or teams with requests for shared apartments will be honored as possible.
For those traveling overseas or coordinating regional visits, on-campus housing is available from Tue Jun 2 through Sun Jun 7, and meals are included for this duration.
All meals will be provided for participants. Any food concern(s) can readily be accommodated with advance knowledge.
Participants will have guest access to the Wise Center Recreational Complex, including indoor track, weight room, aerobic equipment, indoor pool, raquetball courts, basketball courts, and yoga / dance rooms, as well as the Robertson Field complex for outdoor trails and tracks.
Participants will have guest access to campus wifi and library facilities.
Once accepted, participants will complete a travel and lodging form. For those participants coming in through Pittsburgh or Erie International Airports, we will try to schedule shuttles to the Campus. Participants are responsible for their own transportation costs. GLAA members should contact Joyce Budai for possible assistance.
